Ranjeet Sundher - Director, CEO, President
Mr. Sundher has over 15 years experience in the global resource
sector, in 2001 he co‐ founded Red Hill Energy and was instrumental in
growing the Company's assets to include over 1.5 Billion tonnes of
thermal coal in Asia.. Mr. Sundher has sourced, financed and developed
numerous mining projects internationally. Mr. Sundher is the founder of
Canrim Ventures, a Singapore based venture capital firm that specializes
in raising capital for international exploration and development
projects. Mr. Sundher's specialties include project acquisition,
corporate financing and project development.
Darold H. Parken ‐ Director
Mr. Parken received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the
University of Calgary in 1977 and his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the
University of Calgary in 1980. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Parken practiced
corporate securities law with a major Canadian law firm of which he was a
partner. He has public company management experience and a wide range
of experience in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and
acquisitions. Mr. Parken also has extensive experience in managing and
operating both resource and technology companies.
Garry Clark - P. Geo, Director, Vice President Exploration
Mr. Clark is the Executive Director of the Ontario Prospectors
Association (OPA). Garry has been a Director, Vice President or
President of the OPA since its formation in the early 1990's. Mr. Clark
currently serves on the Minister of Mines Mining Act Advisory Committee
(Ontario) and the Ontario Geological Survey Advisory Board. He graduated
with an HBSc (Geology) from Lakehead University Thunder Bay. Mr. Clark
has held geological positions with Major and Junior explorers in
addition to over 25 years of consulting experience. He brings to
Challenger Deep extensive experience in managing large scale exploration
and development programs internationally including Asia.
Andre Talaska ‐ P. Geo, Technical Advisor and Country Representative
Mr Talaska has over 25 years experience in the mining and exploration
industry. He has held senior positions with a number of companies both
in Australia and Asia. In these roles he has extensive experience in:
project identification, open pit and underground mining, value adding
and optimizing of mining operations and management of geological teams
in the production and exploration environment.
Shakir Juffry ‐ Business Development
Mr. Juffry is President Director of PT. Bestindo Kwadratama, an
Indonesian based mining services company established in early 2004,
which provides a variety of services in the field of exploration to the
management of mining operations to both domestic and overseas mining
companies, including several companies listed on an international stock
market that are involved in coal as well as mineral mining projects in
Indonesia.
Shakir, a Chemical Engineer and Extractive Metallurgist by background
training and experience, has developed a career in commercial and
contracts management with over 20 years of experience in the mining
industry. He is also the Commercial Executive Officer of BEST Group
Companies, which involved among other things in nickel mining
operations, coal and mineral exploration projects in Indonesia.
Brent Stevenson ‐ Director, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Stevenson is a Barrister and Solicitor and the principal of Brent
C. Stevenson Professional Corporation. Mr. Stevenson's practice focuses
on corporate and securities law for both private and public companies
in a variety of industries, including various merger and acquisition
transactions as well as private and public offerings of securities. He
also advises on continuous disclosure and corporate governance
compliance matters. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Stevenson
also provides consulting services to various companies with respect to
business development matters.
Paul McKenzie - Director
Mr. McKenzie has over 20 years experience working in international
equities markets. His experiences include acquiring, selling, financing
and developing multiple international mineral and energy projects in
North America, South America and Asia. In his career he has acted as
Director, Vice President and President of several resource companies.
Mr. McKenzie also previously worked as a licensed equity trader at Brink
Hudson Lefever in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Leo Kelly ‐ Director
Mr. Kelly is a Partner (through his professional corporation) of
Kelly & Creaghan, Chartered Accountants, a Calgary, Alberta based
accounting firm. Mr. Kelly serves a variety of clients in the financial
services, construction and real estate industries. Mr. Kelly is a past
president of the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants and has
served on a variety of community and professional boards and committees.
Mr. Kelly has served on the Tax Review Committee for the Province of
Alberta and is currently a public representative on the Provincial
Internal Audit Committee of the Province of Alberta.
Ian Thomson - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Thomson is a Chartered Accountant who practiced with major public
accounting firms before starting his own practice in 2008. Mr. Thomson
acts for a variety of companies in the natural resource sector.
Terence Shaunessy ‐ Director
Mr. Shaunessy is the founder and principal of Shaunessy Investment
Counsel Inc., an independent Calgary-based portfolio manager. He has
been a senior institutional research manager and institutional
investment manager for over 20 years. Prior to establishing Shaunessy
Investment Counsel in 2000, Terry held senior positions with HSBC Asset
Management, Gordon Capital, Gryphon Investment Counsel and Merrill
Lynch. At Merrill Lynch, Terry was the Director Of Research and a
top-ranked bank analyst. At Gryphon, Terry was Managing Partner and
Portfolio Manager (one of four) responsible for investing over $7
billion in assets in equity markets.
